 My Samsung Odyssey G5 Review: 

When my old monitor finally died After I RageQuit After Playing fifa , I Had to choose a new monitor and I bought the Samsung Odyssey G5 Curved 27” on  sale. Now, after 2 weeks of using it for everything from Playing Elden Ring During my semester Study Holidays To "occasionally" Studying On It and Reading Some Digital Content On it, I will Share My opinions On it.

First Impressions: "The curved Screen"

Unboxing this thing felt like forever the stand took me 15 minutes to assemble, and I swear It Was harder that i Thought But once it was set up? Hell yeah, That 1000R curve isn’t just for show. It wraps around Crazily, If you did not know What 1000R meant basically The lesser the Value More the curve.

Gaming: Where This Monitor Shines 

Let’s cut to the chase: the 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time Is just Crazy. No more blaming lag when I miss shots turns out I’m just bad. Colors pop with the VA panel, though I had to tweak the settings for the perfect Colours.

Oh, and HDR10? It definitely Was not Up to To the OLED level But the 1440p Resolution Is more than Enough for Me Considering its a Twenty Seven Inch Monitor 

Now the Cons:

Not everything’s perfect. The stand only tilt no height adjustment .For the First Few Hours My neck was Paining Adjusting the Perfect height and angle.

Non-Gaming Stuff: Yes, I Occasionally Study Too

This monitor’s decent for work! The curve helps A Lot than i Thought .The 1440p resolution is crisp for Reading and the curve helps a lot To Look at the screen as an whole Which my old flat monitor was not the best at.

Would I Recommend It?

If you’re on a budget but want an upgrade from 1080p potato vision: YES. I got This for 18000 Using the Student Discount and you can too.The curve IS the Best part About this I personally Thought the Curve Screens are just Gimmicks But Believe me it is life changing,and performance are legit for under 20000

Final Verdict

It’s not flawless, but for casual gamers and Netflix bingers and occasional Reading it’s a steal. Just… maybe buy a monitor stand. The price might be a little expensive Compared To the Brands Like "Acer" but I Personally Believe Samsung  are Much more reliable and offer a better customer Support than Brands Like Acer and I dont mind Spending Extra For good Brands. If you are looking for a new Gaming Monitor I will Highly Recommend This.
